FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT HAIR RX

What makes your salon different from any other?

We have a dedicated team of professionals; a team comprised of only master technicians with a minimum of five years of experience. Customer service and satisfaction is our primary focus. We know that we’re nothing without our clients, and we value them above all. We also pride ourselves on providing ongoing education from renowned educators in the industry to ensure our stylists stay abreast of all the latest trends and styles in hair design, which we deliver to our clients. We hope the difference is evident as soon as you walk in the door.

How much should I expect to pay?

Prices vary at Hair Rx depending on the type of service, as well as the length and thickness of your hair. For your convenience we have listed our starting prices on this site. We do; however, recommend for each of our clients to come in for a complimentary consultation to determine exactly which service is right for you, and the cost for your image makeover.

What kind of color do you use?

We are committed to offering the best professional products available, which is why we partnered with Schwarzkopf Professional (SKP) in May 2020. SKP has set market standards for more than 50 years. Stunning performance and reliability,  with very clear & sharp tone directions.

Is it really necessary to buy professional products?

Yes, yes, and yes! Professional product is about more than having nice bottles in your shower. Clients will invest money in their color service, go home and use a store bought shampoo, and watch their color fade within days. Professional product is specifically formulated with ingredients to preserve color, while improving the hairs overall health and integrity. Unfortunately, store bought products can’t afford to incorporate essential ingredients, and therefore offer a lesser value.  A few more dollars can save you money in the long run and your hair won’t pay the ultimate price.

I’ve had my color done elsewhere, and I don’t like it.

Can you help me?

Absolutely! Sometimes a miscommunication between you and a stylist can result in a dissatisfying service. At Hair Rx, we make sure to complete thorough consultations to ensure that your perception mirrors your stylist’s, and you leave with the result you envisioned.

How often will I need to come in for maintenance?

Each service requires a different maintenance regime. Hair grows approximately ½ inch per month; therefore, we typically recommend anywhere from 6-8 weeks between color services. Our stylists also recommend a haircut every six weeks to eliminate split ends, which promotes growth.

If I’m unhappy with my service at Hair Rx, what are my options?

Complete customer satisfaction is our primary goal. We do not offer service refunds, but if you’re unhappy with your service all you need to do is let us know. We guarantee our work, and we’ll take whatever steps necessary to make sure you like the final product. We do request a 24-hour notice from the original appointment time.

How long does my hair have to be for extensions?

For hair extensions to look natural, your hair should be at least 4 inches in length. Our method of extensions requires no bonding, but uses titanium beads, which create none to minimal breakage. However, the hair needs to be long enough to pull through the beads and lay down.

Can I receive a chemical service if my hair is over-processed or damaged?

If the integrity of your hair has been compromised, we want to remedy that first. We would recommend a series of protein and conditioning treatments until the condition of your hair improves. Before any chemical service, it is vital to discuss the chemical history of your hair with your stylist so that he/she may determine what lies beneath the top layer of pigment.

A few other closing thoughts...
