RETIRED MASTER STYLIST
“My love of the industry is not entirely altruistic. I feel a
huge sense of accomplishment
when someone sits in my chair and they leave feeling beautiful, refreshed, and happy. It’s a truly magic
feeling to impact people on such a personal level everyday.”
Roxie Specht began her career in the small town of Scottsbluff, Nebraska where she attended the Hollywood Beauty College. After graduating with a complete cosmetology and barber certification, she worked for a salon quaintly called the Hair Port. Her natural talent and outgoing personality enabled her to build a loyal clientele. However, Roxie received an offer in Denver, and after several years at the Hair Port, she took advantage of an opportunity to become a lead Master Designer at JCPenney Salon. During her tenure, she worked as an educator for Paul Mitchell Hair Systems, training salon professionals in cutting, coloring, and product knowledge. Roxie’s success in the company lead to a salon management position, which she held for four years before deciding to open her own salon in May 2003. She was the owner of Hair Rx for 10 years before deciding to step-down for the next generation to take-over what has become a successful family business. She now works part-time as a master stylist, and full-time as a mom and very proud grandma. Roxie specializes in color correction, perms and curly hair. Roxie retired in August, 2020, but plans to make guest appearances from time to time.
