Whether they need their monthly clean up and cut or they only treat themselves to a hair service every two years. Whether they just need some peace while I pamper and massage and provide them time for mindfulness. Or they’re going through something heavy and need me to listen. Whether they are confident and feel like switching things up or have lost themselves and need help finding their moxie again. It is my job to guide them into falling even more in love with the god or goddess that they are. It’s more than just hair."

Alissa was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa, then moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting, but ended up meeting the love of her life and moved to Pittsburgh. After ten years of marriage and raising their daughter, Alissa embarked on her dream career of doing hair. In July, 2019 she moved to Denver to be with family and start a new adventure. As a stylist, she is in love with blonding and the process of balayage—blending natural, sun-kissed looks. Alissa adores color corrections and creating beautiful classic haircuts, as well as branching out to the odd or unexpected; taking her clients on a journey to their dream hair. Alissa found a passion working among crews for fashion shows in Pittsburgh and Denver Fashion Week. Alissa joined the Hair Rx team in May 2020, bringing exceptional talent, passion and professionalism—she is also our in-house Babe certified hand-tied weft extension specialist.
