FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT HAIR EXTENSIONS
Will Tape Extensions Damage My Hair?
Not at all! Have you experienced damage with previous applications? All Easihair Pro Tape Extensions are safe and comfortable, designed to reduce tension on your own biological hair and scalp. All Easihair Pro hair is 100% Remy, has its cuticle in-tact, and is weighted for hair loss. In fact, our tape-in extensions are non-damaging and will protect, and often improve, the condition of your biological hair between the panels.
What If I Have Colored Hair?
We can create a completely customized look for you. During your consultation, a certified extension expert will customize your color match for a seamless application. We can even enhance your existing color, add more dimension, lightness, and brightness, or give you the pop of commitment-free, chemical-free bold color you have always wanted.
What Type of Hair Care Product Can I Use?
Salon professional, non-hydrating, and color-safe shampoos are necessary! This prevents the extensions from slipping and/or fading. The conditioner must be applied away from the tape extension attachment. Our extension specialists will provide you with recommended products and an at-home maintenance sheet that outlines proper care and product use.
Can I Work Out, Sweat, or Swim?
Yes! We have many active clients with demanding exercise routines and active lifestyles who choose our extensions because they are designed to ensure that their hairstyle choices do not require a change in their lifestyle choices. Your Easihair Pro Hair Extension specialist will cover all care tips and provide you with an at-home care guide to ensure that you protect your investment and that it improves, not hinders, your lifestyle.
Which Method Is Best?
It’s about what’s best for you and your hair type. Your stylist will walk through this with you during your consultation, but here are some considerations:
Tape-in Hair Extensions: This method is great for most hair types, including short, thin, and fragile. Customized color and custom blending into your current haircut are included. With proper maintenance, extensions can last for several months. Regular maintenance is required at an additional cost; the tape will be removed and replaced, and the hair will be moved up. A full application starts at approximately $200 and will increase depending on length and thickness, and takes one to two hours to complete.
Hand-tied Weft Extensions: While wefts have been around for a long time, hand-tied wefts have gained popularity more recently. They don’t offer as much customization as tape-ins but are fantastic for people with very active lifestyles who wear their hair up or get their hair wet often. The hand-tied wefts are initially more expensive but may save on maintenance as they need to be done less often and typically don’t require new hair for maintenance.
Custom Clip-in Extensions: This method is great for most hair types, including short, thin, fragile, and curly hair. We choose a customized color and recommend a blending haircut to ensure seamless integration with your natural hair. This method is preferred for special occasions or for individuals seeking less of a commitment. We also recommend this method for our younger clientele. An application starts at just $64, and can increase depending on length and volume. We need approximately one hour to show you how to place them in your hair and to blend them.

How Long Should I Expect My Extensions to Last?
The longevity of extensions depends on how well they are maintained at home. Your stylist will provide you with a consent form that describes maintenance in great detail to ensure they last as long as you want them.
Will I Have to Come In for Maintenance, and If So, How Often?
Extension shedding is normal, and as hair grows out, the beads, tape, and wefts will be lower than their original placement. Your extensions will need maintenance every 3-6 months. This will include replacement of beads/tape, replacement of lost extensions, and blending.
Will My Head Itch?
Tape-in extensions are typically very comfortable and are minimally felt, especially undetectable tape rows. The weft extensions can take a full week to adjust to the feel of them on your scalp. They can itch and may initially be uncomfortable, but that feeling will subside.
How Long Does the Process Take?
A full hand-tied application takes approximately two-three hours but may differ individually. Tape-in applications take approximately one-two hours.
Will You Be Able to Match the Extensions to My Current Hair Color?
We can either match the extensions to your current color or color both your hair and the extensions to your desired color. The service can be done on the same day. The price of the color service on your natural hair is not included in the price of your extensions.
Will You Remove the Extensions When I Am Ready for Them to Come Out?
Extension removal and maintenance is priced hourly, and removal takes approximately one hour to complete.
